It’s OK to be a little dramatic sometimes
So we begin. I’ve done this once before, but life got in the way and I didn’t update my blog nearly as much as I should have. You know, those pesky bills have to paid. Unfortunately, I’m not a lady of leisure. Now, I find myself in this crazy world of an ongoing pandemic, jailed to my house and homeschooling my children. I needed something that was just mine again, just for my own sanity. I know, I know, it’s such a gift to be at home with my children, blah, blah, blah. Yes, I’ve seen those mommy blogs, too. I even enjoy them most of the time. But, let’s be real; while we should all recognize the privilege that we may have, we should also be able to feel all of our feelings. Whether you have a mansion or an apartment, it’s totally cool with me for you to be annoyed with your kids and not relish every second that you spend with them. I will even join you in some light name-calling, if that’s your jam. I have a great vocabulary. As for the title of this page, it’s just for funsies. Would anyone I know consider me a dramatic person? Probably not. In fact, I am often touted at work as cool, calm and collected in my managerial functions. The island of calm in a sea of chaos. But, I say we should all be allowed our hissy fits from time to time. As long as we’re not cussing out a cashier or being rude to a waitress, I’m all in. While I am not a Karen, I do want to launch my kids into outer space sometimes, and I think that just makes me human. So, follow along for some good laughs, but remember, I am not an expert in anything except mediocrity. Let’s have a little fun.
